We can't recommend Todd enough!!

He captured the most amazing moments of our wedding and had such a good eye for the perfect photo spots. I was devastated that a hurricane hit my wedding location just a week before the wedding so all of my pre-selected photo spots for our first look and bridal party photos were destroyed. Todd made some great recommendations on alternative photo spots in the area which I think turned out better than what I originally planned! He was really prepared and organised in setting up the shots, instructing us on how to pose, and taking his time to get the perfect bride and groom shots. We had a very short timeline for the ceremony and reception but Todd was great at keeping us on schedule without compromising the quality of the photos. I still can't get over how great the photos turned out!

Wedding Photos of my dreams!

There aren’t enough words to describe how great Todd was to work with! I didn’t meet Todd until day of since I had a destination wedding, but he came in like we’d known each other previously! Our timeline was a little behind the day of, but he stayed calm and just kept reassuring that we’d still get the shots we needed before the ceremony. He came in with a game plan and got all the photos + more than I could have imagined!
He was efficient and no time was wasted since wedding party/family get antsy taking photos when they’re wanting to get to cocktail hour. The photos came out incredible and I’m in love with them. I couldn’t recommend him enough.

Amazing Work!

Over the moon!

Todd was amazing and responsive! He was right on time for our vow renewal photography session. And was easy to communicate via text or email. We had a quiet beach ceremony (just us and the kids plus all of the hundreds of beach goers). He navigated the busy beach to keep people out of the photographs. He navigated the people on the beach trying to talk to us and him. He was great with the kids and made it fun (and quick which we needed because of an impatient 3 and 6 year old). I highly recommend Todd. My pictures turned out beyond what I had hoped for and I am absolutely in love with them!!! The pictures are divine and I cannot wait to share them with friends and family. Absolutely Amazing

Having an amazing photographer was my number one priority for my wedding and Todd went way above my expectations. I knew from the moment I did my engagement shoot with him, I made the right choice. Todd is very straight forward and makes everything flow nicely when trying to get the perfect shots. When I received my wedding photos from him, I was blown away by all the little details and special moments he caught. I didn’t even realize he shot some of the pictures I got! Friendly, efficient, professional, and talented

An excellent photographer was my number one priority when I planned my wedding, and Todd exceeded my expectations. Todd was amazing from my initial inquiry to when we received the final photos. He was quick to respond to all of my questions during the hiring and planning process. During the wedding, he was incredibly professional and efficient. We didn't do a first look, and I was nervous about that because many people told me we wouldn't have time to take good couples photos. But Todd assured me we would have time, and he was right. He was able to get stunning couple photos of my husband and I between the ceremony and reception. I know this is entirely due to how efficiently he took the portraits of the wedding party and family after the ceremony. He was assertive and made sure everyone was where they needed to be when they needed to be there, which I loved. He was friendly and incredibly easy to work with throughout the entire process. Amazing Photographer

Todd was a phenomenal wedding photographer! He was recommended by a friend so I already heard good things of his work, but he was exceptional throughout the entire process. He has several different wedding packages to choose from with very decent and appropriate prices. For our engagement photos, he braved going on our boat with us during a somewhat windy and rainy Florida day and took amazing photos of us on Egmont Key and even captured the sunset. It was hard choosing just one photo for our wedding invitations. Todd arrived early on our wedding day and was very attentive and captured the entire night. There was so much going on throughout the night that I don't know how he did it, but all of the photos were beautiful. Our wedding also took place in downtown Tampa during the hockey playoffs so there were people every where and he was able to avoid capturing them in the photos. I highly recommend Todd for anyone's wedding photographer especially in Tampa bay as he is very familiar with the area.

Best Decision ever Made

The photography for my daughter's wedding was very important to her. A camera buff herself, she was immediately drawn to his online portfolio with composition, lighting, and capturing the genuine emotion. His rates were quite reasonable for the quality of work, as well as any additional purchases such as the wedding album. This was a destination wedding (2 hours away) so we didn't have any personal references, but we wanted someone who was familiar with the venue (Kapok Special Events Center). We called him immediately to chat and he was so personable. At meetings later on, we realized how professional he was and serious about his craft, and still a warm and funny guy. Our next step was to get his recommendations for DJ and videographer. After all, you want your "Three Kings" to work well together. Fortunately, his favorites were on our list too, so it was a no-brainer to check them out and bring them aboard. Todd was always available to answer questions via phone, text or email. He knows all about the venue, weddings and families. Other than highlighting a couple of must-have shots (the dogs in the ceremony, her cousin playing the violin), we felt comfortable with Todd calling the rest. He knew how to get bridal party and family pictures done in a streamlined fashion so we had time to enjoy part of the cocktail hour. During the ceremony and reception, he was almost invisible, yet he captured amazing shots of the entire evening. The photos were absolutely incredible! We shared the viewing website with our families and guests, and they continue to rave about them all. We trusted Todd, and he delivered beyond our expectations. It was a pleasure working with him.

Engagement Pictures at Universal Orlando

As a NJ Bride who wanted to take engagement pictures in Florida, I just did a quick search of photographers in the Orlando area. I am so glad that Todd came up in my search. He was one of the first photographers to get back to me with a reasonable quote for an engagement session. We were able to correspond through email and phone calls and he responded so quick! He sent ideas about what photos we could do at Universal and wanted to get our vision right from the start. When we finally met at Universal for the shoot he did not rush us around the park. He positioned us perfectly to get the best shots with the least amount of people. It was an awesome experience, especially for someone like me who doesn't like getting their picture taken. KY Bride with a Florida beach wedding.

Living in Kentucky and planning a Florida wedding I was nervous about picking my photographer till I saw Todd’s portfolio. Great Photographer!

Working with Todd to photograph our special day was a pleasure. He knew when to stay out of our hair as we were wedding planning and when to contact us to make sure he had the right information for the day of. It was also nice that he’s worked at the Postcard Inn (our wedding venue) before, because he was familiar with the venue and staff. He showed up well in advance of the ceremony to take pictures and was able to wrangle our crazy family and friends (about 125 guests) to take formal pictures after the ceremony and before the reception - no easy feat! Our solo pictures with the sunset turned out gorgeous. During the reception it was almost like he wasn’t there, but he took so many great pictures of our family and friends enjoying themselves and dancing the night away. Beautiful lighting!

We met Todd about 3 months prior to our wedding day. Being a photographer myself, I was very picky about who to choose to photograph our wedding. We had a bad experience with a different photographer earlier and were very apprehensive about trusting someone else with our wedding photos.
BUT, choosing Todd Gilman Photography was an excellent choice! As soon as we met him, we felt completely comfortable. My brand new husband was nervous about having a stranger follow us around all day with a camera in our faces...but he later told me he didn't feel anxious at all when he met Todd the day of the wedding.
We were married at eleven o'clock in the morning, which meant bride/groom photographs would be taken with the sun directly overhead. Normally, the noontime sun is a portrait killer, but Todd absolutely killed it!! He used the surrounding palm trees to diffuse the light beautifully and we ended up with simply GORGEOUS photos.

We chose Todd for our engagement photos and our wedding photos, and we were so impressed by his energy, his vision, and, of course, the final photos.

Todd hits the perfect note between personable and professional. He was fun to have around on the wedding day, and he had no problems telling us how we should pose to ensure that we had the best shots. He has perfected the ability to look around the wedding site and find the most photogenic locations. The day of the wedding, Todd was punctual and stuck to the schedule to catch all of our "big moments" and many of the small ones as well. He took posed photos and candid photos as well, which are really fun to have.

Three weeks after the wedding, Todd provided an abundance of excellent, professional photos. He provided a link to the photos online for us to share with our friends and family, and he also sent us a CD with high-resolution copies. We were a little nervous about only having one photographer instead of two, but Todd is so dynamic and has so much energy, he provided just as many final photos as two standard photographers.

Todd is a great wedding photographer, and we are so grateful that we chose him for our engagement photo shoot and for our wedding.

I was very picky with selecting a photographer to use for my wedding last month, and after meeting with Todd in person and seeing his previous work, we knew we needed to have him at our wedding. Our pictures were ready in about three weeks and we were beyond thrilled with how they turned out- flawless! I got married almost a month ago at the Grand Plaza Beach Resort...I have lived in Florida for about 5 years (originally from Michigan), and when I got engaged I had no idea where to start with my vendors. So, of course, I turned to Wedding Wire! Todd Gilman got such great reviews and after speaking to him on the phone, there was no doubt he was going to be the one to capture our big day! He was wonderful! He responded promptly to any questions I may had and pricing was very reasonable. He spends the entire day with you- from the time you start getting ready until the final song of the night. He captured both my husband and the guys getting ready and me and my girls- running back and forth to make sure he got all the important shots. My husband is not very comfortable in front of the camera and Todd made it where he was laughing and very relaxed. He also has a way with making the bride (in this case, it was me!!) feel so special and beautiful! Some of my favorite pictures he captured through the night were of the reception. As the bride and groom, you are so focused on everything going smoothly that night and you just hope your guests are having a great time- by the looks of the guests faces in the pictures- everyone had a GREAT time!! Todd is highly, highly recommend!!

Todd was AMAZING! He was our favorite vendor by far, and all of our vendors were actually great. But Todd was exceptional. He calmed our nerves, accommodated our special requests, and knew exactly what he was doing so there was zero time wasted. He even arrived a few minutes early. He kept us on track throughout the entire evening when he could tell we were a little lost. We have not gotten our pictures back yet seeing as we were just married 3 days ago. After looking at countless photographers and their photos, reviews, pricing etc, we came across Todd's website and noticed that one of my sorority sisters used him in her wedding. Her photos were stunning so I contacted Todd. He was very responsive and answered all of the questions that I had. Luckily, he had our date open and we booked him right away! A few days before the wedding, he gave me a call to go over details and times. Todd makes himself available 2.5 hours before the ceremony starts to be able to travel to different locations and take pre pictures of your bridal party getting ready, pictures of your dress, rings, shoes, first look with your father and pictures of the groomsmen as well. Even though Todd is a one man team, during the wedding, it seemed like he was everywhere at once! He had some great ideas for some creative shots and made sure to get as many intimate shots with your groom as possible. He was calm, gave great firm direction and made sure everyone was on the same page so the pictures could be taken quickly and the fun could be had! Todd was also very affordable and his packages had great value to them. We are still waiting for our digital pictures, but from the sneak peaks he sent us, we know they will be great! Being from the UK, we were a little apprehensive about booking a photographer online for our wedding in Clearwater as we could not meet them in person before the big day. Todd was absolutely amazing! He captured every detail of my wedding and was so quick to respond to any questions I had throughout the process. Our wedding was July 11th, so as you can imagine, it was hot. We had the ceremony and reception indoors but we wanted to take pictures outside. While we were out taking pictures, it was 100% humidity and so uncomfortable. After about 20 minutes I told Todd that I was too hot and we needed to go inside. We then went to the room where the bridal party was during cocktail hour. Todd came back in the room after about 10 minutes and was like "Kate, i know it's hot but I saw this beautiful spot outside that I know pictures will look amazing. I don't want you to regret not taking enough pictures outside." .. So my husband and I followed him outside and sure enough, looking at the pictures, those are my favorite!! It really shows how much Todd cares about his work and his clients and wants to make sure you are happy!! I would recommend Todd in a heartbeat! Thank you again so much!! I also want to commend him for his patience as we were unable to take bridal party pictures right away after the ceremony due to rain, but he was very attentive to how the weather was playing out to take any opportunity we had once the rain stopped to take the pictures. This actually turned out great, because the pictures came out amazing! The sunset behind us really made them the most amazing pictures!

We found, at the beginning, selecting a photographer was a bit overwhelming. We ended up securing our DJ first and he gave us a few suggestions and mentioned to us that we shouldn't let the fact that one photographer, who was a lot more inexpensive than the others, make us believe he wasn't as good as the others. We were able to figure out, he was talking about Todd, as his prices were much more reasonable than most. I checked out his work on his website, Facebook and weddingwire.com and read every review I could find and was impressed before meeting him.

Choosing Todd turned out to be a great decision. He's a very personable, friendly guy, but not over the top (which can be annoying) and, at the same time, very professional. He did an engagement session for us, as well as our wedding. He was on time for both and took his time, never making us feel rushed.

Todd arrived for our wedding at 1:00 and didn't leave until around 10:30. He was with us every step of the way, yet he seemed to manage to be everywhere else, too. He was a real trooper and went above and beyond; even helping my dad (who is not a dress-up guy) with his cufflinks and helping me to get out of my shoes, which were killing me. We had a lot of comments from guests that he never stopped taking pictures.

He was able to get our pictures to us in less than two weeks and they are amazing! I actually teared-up looking at them and seeing all the little moments that I missed. I could not be happier with Todd's end- product; he really captured our special, perfect day in pictures and for that, I am very thankful to him.

I would recommend Todd to any friends or family, without a second thought!

Todd photographed our wedding on July 27th at St. Brendan's Catholic Church in Clearwater followed by our reception at the Clearwater Beach Rec Center. He was awesome enough to come to the hotel early in the morning before the ceremony and get all the getting ready and "detail" shots of the girls getting ready and the pictures turned out so beautiful. He was able to place my dress and shoes and little details that I wouldn't even think of that made the pictures and memory so special. He even brought his own newspaper with the date and took pictures with our rings! In the church he got both mine and my now husbands "first look" when I came down the aisle and the pictures during the ceremony were phenomenal. He was very respectful of the church and guests and was an addition to the audience, not a distraction. We had a break in between in which Todd endured the heat valiantly and took pictures of the bridal party on the beach. Even though it seemed while taking the pictures we were all squinting and sweating the pictures turned out absolutely stunning. At the reception he got all the little details before the guests arrived and hovered around cocktail hour and got pictures of all the guests that meant so much to us. He also got some great party pictures and didn't leave until the end of the night. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer. This is coming from someone who had no idea where to start and I am so happy with the end results. I have a friend who is a photographer and she reviewed his work and agreed the photos are beautiful, the lighting and angles are flawless. Did I mention his prices are amazing? You won't find any better.

Todd did a great job on photographing our wedding. We received plenty of great shots and no one would've guessed a hurricane was brewing that day based on the photos. He was even flexible to offer changing the date in the event the venue cancelled our wedding due to the hurricane. He also customized the package for us since we really wanted an enlargement that was not in included in his packaged price. He kept his cool even when there were issues with the church pushing us to leave early when we had to take pictures inside instead of outside due to the approaching storm. Todd knew that it was his job was to capture a moment in our lives that we would cherish forever and he didn't let anything get in the way of that. We appreciated that so much. Years later I had to request a replacement enlargement print due to a framing company damaging the original print post a re-framing job. Todd is amazing his photography is outstanding. he really does have a GREAT imagination & keeps up with the times in photography. for example the photo journalism style seems to be in now as well as vintage...he captured both & also traditional & timeless. The only "Constructive Criticism" I have to offer, is taking photos of the Bride & her father directly coming down the aisle as opposed to from the side. & for Catholic Weddings to really be more aware of moments when the Priest is laying his hands on the couple in prayer, especially when the couple are kneeling in front of the priest. & also to NOT dismiss the wedding party early after "traditional" photos in the church or chapel, as this can screw the Bride & groom out of any outside photos on the church campus with their Bridal party. & those are some real nice photos to frame later on as it is the Bridal party that typically consists of very close knit friends & family members that have meant a GREAT deal to the couple. It all goes back to telling your photographer your expectations too. & I regretfully did not, I never really did tell Todd what was #1 to me in photography. I blame myself more than him. I would DEFINITELY HIRE HIM AGAIN!!!! for ANY OCCASION! In fact we have a First Communion coming up & we'd like some family photos like a family photo shoot.....& he is my #1 contender for the job(s). for the quality he puts out you CANNOT Beat his prices! most other photographer's of his quality EASY....charge $5,000 & that is just for 4 to 6 hours. We had him ALL DAY....UNLIMITED & UNLIMITED FILM! & he is VERY VERY FLEXIBLE! We were not able to afford an official album, but Todd has assured us we can do that later anytime. We got the BEST of compliments from friends & family on the photography...NO ONE noticed my little criticisms, he took charge was FAST!!! ......just a really really GREAT PROFESSIONAL Photographer. VERY down to earth! Just make sure you write down that is important to you in terms of style & what photos of who & with who etc.....you want that will be dear to you. communication is key. he did a smashing job considering I didn't communicate to him those little things that meant a lot to me. in the end though it really is all material. We are not immortal. SO ....he gets an A+++ in my book! your paying too much if you go anywhere else!

Todd and his wife are not only amazing photographers, they are amazing people. They made my husband and me feel very comfortable and confident in our choice of wedding photographers. We received an amazing service and product for an unbeatable price. The quality was amazing and all those perfect moments were captured. I haven't seen the photos yet, wedding was less than a week ago, but Todd was great. He arrived on time at two in the afternoon and stayed until the evening ended at 10:30 p.m. He put up with all of the family, had creative ideas about various shots and was fun to have with us for the day.

Todd was great! He was the photographer for a friends wedding I attended and his pictures were amazing. I knew I was in good hands from the start!! His use of colors were spot on. I especially appreciated that not all of the pictures were in colors, I loved the black and whites and sepias as well. The pictures were available almost immediately, exactly when he promised they would be I will treasure these pictures for a lifetime! Thanks to Todd!!!!

Todd was wonderful to work with! Throughout the entire planning process Todd was very quick to respond to phone calls and email messages. They are enjoyable people to be around - which is an important quality that people seem to overlook when choosing vendors. During both the ceremony and reception, they took some gorgeous pictures, yet no one seemed to know they were there - their presence was not intrusive at all. I am thrilled with my wedding photos and Todd's amazing talent to put together an album which truly depicts the story of the day. From the moment we met with Todd, we knew we were working with a professional. He showed us numerous pictures in his portfolio, and even showed us previous wedding pictures taken at our venue. We are still in the process of choosing pictures for our package because there are so many great ones!! He had our proofs back to us in less than 4 weeks, and our pictures on a website for guest viewing and ordering. He captured the most tender moments throughout the day. Many of which no one knew he was taking. I showed the pictures to my friend who is getting married in New York City. She is paying nearly three times as much for the same sort of package with some big-wig photographer, and pictures of the same quality!

Todd did a phenomenal job. He has such an eye for photography. His photojournalism style mixed with his tradition make for a beautiful wedding album. His prices are worth every bit.
